Visiting the Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited (HKEx)
Our department arranged a visit to the HKEx for form six students in early September. This enhanced their knowledge about the history and operation of HKEx, which has broadened their horizon.
JA Company Programme
Our department, together with the Other Learning Experience Committee, took part in the JA Company Programme. It offered an opportunity for students to design products and look for suppliers. They sold their products in a carnival. Finally, they had a critical analysis on their performance. Through this programme, they were able to apply what they have learnt in books and put it into practice. They could learn entrepreneurship, communication and leadership skills through hands-on experience.
‘Rich kid, poor kid’ Programme
Our department, together with the Liberal Studies Department, took part in this programme launched by the HKICPA. Through this programme, students could understand the importance and the basics of money management.
